As my tenure as President of our esteemed club draws to a close, I am filled with gratitude and pride for what we have accomplished together over the past year. Our club has continued its tradition of making meaningful contributions to our community, with disbursements to Tasmania Gynaecological Research, Loaves and Fishes/Gran’s Van, Eveline House, Windward Bound, and the Devonport Eisteddfod.
Additionally, we have supported the Food Plant Solutions Rotary Action Group, Care for Africa, Rotary Against Malaria Rotary Action Group, and the Rotary Foundation.
With the changeover board meeting scheduled for Thursday and our changeover dinner next Saturday, it’s time to welcome new energy and ideas under the leadership of the incoming President, Leigh Murphy. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Leigh for a successful tenure.
Reflecting on the list of past presidents, it is an honour to have been part of such a distinguished lineage, contributing to the growth and success of our remarkable club. Thank you all for your trust, support, and enthusiasm, which have been the bedrock of our achievements.
Together, we have strengthened the fabric of our community, and I am confident that this legacy will continue to flourish in the years to come.
Thank you - President Buz Green
