The SeaRoad Devonport Motor Show will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Sunday 22 March 2026, marking two decades as one of Tasmania’s premier motoring events. From its humble beginnings in 2007, the Show has grown into the second-biggest event on the Devonport calendar, attracting thousands of visitors and showcasing vehicles from across the state and beyond.
The 2026 Motor Show will also be the final event solely organised by the Rotary Club of Devonport North. After twenty years of dedication, with some members involved since the very first show, the Club has decided it is time to hand the keys to a new generation of organisers. While stepping back from the lead role, the Club is committed to supporting others to continue this much-loved tradition.
To mark the milestone, the anniversary Show will feature a special “Best of the Best” line-up, with past trophy winners from the last two decades invited to return. Judges will select the standout car, ute, hot rod and bike from this elite group. Vehicle pre-entries open on 1 November 2025 via the Motor Show website.
The event also honours the legacy of the late Ian Murcott, the Rotary member and hot rod enthusiast whose idea inspired the very first Motor Show. Since then, the event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local, national and international causes, supporting organisations such as Gran’s Van, Loaves & Fishes, the Devonport Men’s Shed, Australian Rotary Health, ShelterBox, Rotary Against Malaria and Operation Cleft.
The Rotary Club of Devonport North invites the community to be part of this historic celebration, whether as exhibitors, food vendors, sponsors or spectators. The 20th anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on two decades of community spirit and generosity while looking ahead to the next chapter.
