Welcome to The Rotary
Club of Devonport North
The Rotary Club of Devonport North is a community based club
with 50 members drawn from a wide cross section of business
and professional persons in the Devonport region. All
members are volunteers.
Members are actively involved in a variety of charitable and
community projects, both locally and overseas, raising funds
and providing support services to those less fortunate. Club
members enjoy great fellowship working together at club
projects, programs and dinner meetings.
Weekly dinner meetings are normally held each Thursday night
at the Elimatta Hotel, Victoria Parade, Devonport, Tasmania
commencing at 6.00 pm for 6.15 pm start and generally finish
approximately 7.30 pm. Visiting Rotarians and guests are
welcome to attend.

The Object of Rotary
The Object of Rotary is to encourage and
foster the ideal of
service as a basis of
worthy enterprise
and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
First: The
development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
Second: High
ethical standards in business and professions; the
recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and
the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an
opportunity to serve society;
Third: The
application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's
personal, business, and community life;
Fourth: The
advancement of international understanding, goodwill and
peace through a world fellowship of business and
professional persons united in the ideal of service.
